    Early career professionals will have an opportunity to talk with experienced leaders in toxicology about different career paths, challenges, and professional growth areas. While not required, sharing your webcam during this event is suggested to take full advantage of the overall experience.

    7th Annual ToxTrot

    Lace up your running shoes and grab your step counter! Just because we can’t physically be in the same place doesn’t mean we can’t run together. Participants will have the freedom to complete the ToxTrot 5K Fun Run at their leisure during the week, and times will be tracked and submitted using a smartphone-compatible mobile app. Detailed instructions on completing the 5K and submitting your times will be provided as the meeting gets closer.

    ACT is going “batty” on Friday the 13th! Join us for for a virtual boat tour of Austin, Texas. This tour along the water of Lady Bird Lake will end with an emergence of the famous Congress Avenue Bridge’s Mexican free-tailed bats. The bats make Austin their home in the spring and summer, returning to Mexico in early fall. Don’t be afraid; the bats will only be “virtually” so close you could touch them!

    It’s time to escape! Join us for this fun networking activity where participants will be split up into groups and tasked with unraveling cryptic clues and messages, solving riddles and puzzles, and working together to “escape” before time runs out. Don’t miss this interactive event!

    The new Digital ToxHunt scavenger hunt makes it easy for you to earn points to be entered in a prize drawing for fabulous prizes! All ACT Expo Live! exhibitors are participating in ToxHunt, simply visit their booths and interact in various ways to earn as many points as possible.

    ToxHunt will begin on Monday and winners will be announced during the afternoon Expo hours on Wednesday, November 18, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm (EST). While ToxHunt will take place throughout the entire Virtual Annual Meeting, the best time to meet and speak with exhibitors is during the dedicated hours for ACT Expo Live! Please see the Program Overview for details on ACT Expo Live! hours. Once you reach the required number of points you will be entered in the ToxHunt prize drawing to win:

    The virtual Awards Ceremony will feature a keynote presentation by the Distinguished Scientist Award in Toxicology recipient! Awards will also be presented to the recipients of the Mildred Christian Women’s Leadership in Toxicology Award, Service Award, Early Career Professional Award, and Award for Best Paper Published in International Journal of Toxicology, as well as the recipients of the North American Travel Grants, North American Graduate Fellowships, and International Travel Grants.

    Considered “Music’s Best Address,” Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre (ACL Live) is a state-of-the-art, 2,750-person-capacity live music venue that hosts approximately 100 concerts a year. It serves as the permanent home for the taping of the acclaimed Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) series Austin City Limits, the longest-running music series in American television history. Join us on a VIP behind-the-scenes virtual tour that includes the legendary music photography of Scott Newton and Jim Marshall.
