Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is easy to get to and easy to get through, with passengers enjoying Austin-style customer service including live music, art exhibits, and award-winning food concessions. The airport is located nine miles and approximately 15 minutes away from the JW Marriott Austin.

Transportation To/From the Airport

Taxi fares are on average $30 from the airport to the JW Marriott Austin.

The JW Marriott Austin does not offer a shuttle to the airport; however, shared ride van services are also available from the airport to the hotel for a fee.

There are many rental car options from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The closest rental car company to the hotel is Hertz Rental Cars, located one mile from the hotel.

The Capital Metro bus line can connect you to the JW Marriott Austin from the airport. Catch the bus at the blue neon guitar bus stop on the lower level at the airport. Capital Metro stop #578 is located 0.1 miles east of the hotel.

Capital Metro Bus Line

Austin’s public bus system is part of a 500-square-mile Central Texas system of more than 3,000 bus stops and 53 routes. Capital Metro stop #578 is located 0.1 miles east of the JW Marriott Austin.

With convenient service every 15 minutes seven days a week between the University of Texas at Austin, downtown hotels, and the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Capital Metro’s Route 20 Manor Road/Riverside is a great way to travel.

MetroRail

Connecting Austin on a 32-mile line that stretches all the way from the city of Leander to downtown Austin near the Convention Center, MetroRail provides $1.00 to $2.75 trips, with nine stops in between. Service run six days a week, until around 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. There is currently no service on Sundays.

Taxi-/Ride-Hailing

Taxis companies, such as ATX Co Op, Lone Star Cab, and Yellow Cab, are available throughout the city. Ride-share services, such as Lyft, Uber, Wingz, and Ride Austin, are also popular.
