Hybrid Format in 2022
The American College of Toxicology (ACT) is offering an advanced course, Advanced Comprehensive Toxicology, to complement Toxicology for Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Scientists course. The 2022 lectures cover detailed descriptions of the principles of toxicology, effects of xenobiotics on organ systems, discussions of specific classes of toxicants, mechanisms of toxicity, risk assessment, and other contemporary toxicological concepts. The content of this course provides information that may be helpful to those seeking certification in toxicology or to those seeking advanced training in toxicology.
For the first time, this course is being offered in a hybrid format that allows registrants to participate in-person or virtually. Presentations will be live-streamed and both in-person and virtual attendees will have the opportunity to ask speakers questions throughout the day. Presentations will be recorded for on-demand access, at an additional fee, to those who register to attend in-person or virtually. Proof of vaccination or negative PCR COVID-19 test is mandatory for in-person course participation. View full requirements on the Registration tab.
On-demand access to the recorded presentations is available to registrants of the virtual or in-person course for unlimited viewing until October 1, 2022, for an additional fee.

Verification of full vaccination is required for entry into this ACT course. Alternatively, proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the start time of the course will be required.
“Full Vaccination” means two weeks after completing the recommended series of vaccination with an FDA-authorized vaccine to prevent COVID-19 by way of full approval or an emergency use authorization.
Options for providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination to ACT Headquarters in advance of the start of the in-person course (must provide by July 29, 2022):
- CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card that includes the name of person vaccinated, manufacturer of vaccine, and date(s) when administered
- A legible photo or scanned copy of a vaccination card
- Documentation of vaccination signed by a healthcare provider, including contact information
- Digital record that may include a QR code which displays the person’s name, date of birth, vaccine dates, and vaccine type
- Vaccination documents, like those listed above, issued by foreign governments, or as authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO), are acceptable.
If not fully vaccinated, participants must show proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test in the last 72 hours. At-home rapid tests or antigen tests are not acceptable.
If proof of vaccination or negative PCR COVID-19 test are not provided, entry to the course will be denied, and the course fees will not be refunded. Proof of vaccination should be provided to ACT Headquarters by July 29, 2022.
ACT will provide appropriate opportunity for social distancing and while encouraging the use of face masks, will follow current local, state, and CDC recommendations at the time of the event.
