ACT President

The ACT Annual Meeting, held November, is our Hallmark event which provides opportunities to network in-person with peers as well as to attend education courses and hands-on Workshops and Symposia that deliver the most up-to-date science supporting human safety.

During the year, ACT also offers members and nonmembers a variety of courses and on-demand elearning opportunities, including basic applied toxicology and pathology for nonpathologists and topical webinars and podcasts, as well as preparation for taking the toxicology board examination.

Though the ACT website, you can access interACT to connect and network with colleagues and look up members. You can also stay up to date by reading the newsletter, progress your career or those of others by accessing our Mentorship Program, or make your next career move by visiting the Career Center.

ACT recognizes the need for diversity, inclusion, and equity in all that it does. We offer programs for all career stages, our outreach programs continue to support the field of toxicology throughout the world, and our scholarship grants provide support to attend our Annual Meeting and encourage participation in the College’s activities. ACT has proudly established an Endowment that maximizes opportunities for young scientists and ensures that these educational opportunities remain available in the future. To learn more about the Endowment and to contribute to this legacy, visit the Endowment section of the website.

ACT also seeks to advance the field of applied toxicology by contributing to the scientific literature, and the official journal of the College, International Journal of Toxicology, publishes timely manuscripts on contemporary issues in toxicology. The Journal section of the website is the starting place for those interested in learning more about submitting a manuscript or subscribing to the journal.

Consider becoming more involved in ACT and our vibrant membership by participating in our committees and initiatives. There are numerous elected and appointed opportunities to work with your peers and colleagues to support our mission to educate, lead, and serve.

Questions? Explore the FAQs in the Membership section or contact ACT Headquarters at any time. We’re always here to help.

Whatever your goals in applied toxicology—be it networking, career development, education, or getting published—I hope you find what you need with the American College of Toxicology.

Sincerely,
