The Sunshine State is calling you to the ACT 44th Annual Meeting, to be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, November 12–15, 2023. Orlando is known as “The City Beautiful,” with the city’s many museums, parks, and public plazas all contributing to an attractive urban landscape. Orlando features spectacular weather, a range of diverse neighborhoods, and a thriving cultural scene surrounded by the natural beauty of palm trees and sandy shores.

The Rosen Shingle Creek opened in late 2006 and displays Florida’s southern charm. The hotel provides an exciting array of amenities, including twelve unique restaurants and bars, a world class spa, and a beautiful golf course.

The Rosen Shingle Creek is located 20 miles from downtown Orlando and 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Downtown Orlando is easily accessible via the Sunrail commuter train, located 15 minutes from the hotel property. The hotel is also convenient to Universal Studios amusement park and transportation is provided by the hotel.


Orlando is known for its tropical climate. Visitors should consider the humidity in Orlando, which is at its highest during the autumn season. Be sure to bring a variety of clothing, including a lightweight jacket, shorts, pants, short and long-sleeved shirts, and sweaters for layering, especially in the meeting space. As always, generous sun protection is encouraged.

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition (4 miles) exclusively features 17 galleries in a 20,000 square foot interactive museum.

Universal Studios (6 miles) hosts a variety of attractions based on movies, television, and other aspects of the entertainment industry, including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Walt Disney World (12 miles) is an entertainment resort complex featuring four theme parks, two water adventure parks, five golf courses, and Disney Springs, an entertainment-shopping-dining experience.

Harry P. Leu Gardens (16 miles) is a 50-acre botanical garden full of blooming flowers, tropical plants, scenic vistas, and easy-to-walk trails.

Orlando Museum of Art (16 miles) is a nonprofit organization directly serving greater Orlando, Orange County, and Central Florida. Founded in 1924 by a group of art enthusiasts, the museum's mission is to inspire creativity, passion, and intellectual curiosity by connecting people with art and innovative ideas.
