Safety Protocols

• Review the COVID-19 Assumption of Risk and Release Waiver before registering for the meeting. A signed waiver will be required from all attendees before entering the meeting.
• Follow relevant guidance provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) and your local health authority.
• Individuals must abide by the travel restrictions and quarantine requirements of the United States and the State of Maryland in effect as of the date of the event.
• Evaluate your own health and that of people with whom you are in close contact (CDC Symptoms of COVID-19).
• Stay home if you feel sick (CDC Guidance: What to Do If You Are Sick).

• Follow guidance from health authorities for everyday preventative actions to help stop the spread of COVID-19, including:
• Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
• Use an alcohol-based sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
• Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
• Cover nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing; throw used tissues in the trash
• Disinfect personal items such as cell phones and laptops that you use often

• Agree to and comply with any, and all, on-site safety and sanitation procedures that may be required by the venue, ACT, and/or government agencies, including but not limited to:
• Daily self-health screenings before entering the meeting
• Daily temperature checks before entering the meeting/event venue
• Engage in possible contact tracing
• Wear a mask or facial covering (must cover mouth and nose)
• Adhere to social distance protocols and respect others’ personal space
• Implement a “no handshake policy”
• Adhere to designated session and event seating
• Attendees will need to return to the same seat should they leave the session at any time.
• Room capacities will be based on current social distancing requirements and entry will be based on availability.
• Contact a health care provider if at any time you feel unwell or are experiencing flu-like symptoms.
• Harbor Medical Center offers the following medical services: urgent care, primary care, orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management, podiatry, and nutrition services.
• If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.

• While the organization will, of course, cooperate if contacted by any public health department regarding a participant who has tested positive, contact tracing may not be possible for all interactions. Please follow guidance from the CDC regarding contact tracing.

ACT, in coordination with the Gaylord National Harbor, will, at the guidance of local, state, and federal health organizations, implement the following best practices to help attendees stay healthy and to reduce exposure and risk (subject to change):

• Conduct COVID-19 health security protocol, including, but not limited to, daily self-health assessments, on-site testing, and on-site temperature checks
• Provide sanitizing stations and disinfection materials for general attendee use
• Increase cleaning and disinfection across high-volume common area
• Provide ample signage and directionals to ensure social distancing
• Monitor recommendations from the relevant health authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the local government and city officials
• Encourage attendees to adopt some best practices to act in their own best interest and in the best interest of their follow attendees
