Presenter Information

Instructions for ACT Poster Presentations

Upon acceptance of the poster abstract, the presenting author must register for the meeting (full meeting registration is required; there are no exceptions). This year’s meeting will include two Poster Sessions. Designated authors will present their poster in the Grand Ballroom during either the Poster Session I with Wine and Cheese on Monday, November 7, from 5:30 pm–7:00 pm or the Poster Session II with Champagne Breakfast on Tuesday, November 8, from 7:30 am–9:00 am. To preserve the integrity and uniformity of the poster sessions, each session will take place for an hour and a half and ACT will assign each presenter(s) a session alphabetically, by presenter last name. Your presence, and/or that of a co-author, during your assigned poster session is particularly important because this is when conference participants will plan to meet you to discuss your work.

Posters will be assigned a number for a designated 4’x 6’ board (numbers will be shown in the Program’s Author Index). Please include the title and the names of the investigators at the top of your poster, and include the abstract along with the other information you want to display (display should be limited to scientific data and should not contain marketing of any kind). Pushpins are provided to attach your poster.

It is the responsibility of the poster presenter to remove the poster. Failure to do so could result in damage to or loss of the unclaimed poster. The American College of Toxicology is not responsible for posting, removing, or storing posters and assumes no responsibility for any poster not removed immediately following the poster session.

Nonmember-Invited Speaker Extended Registration (1-Day Registration to Full ACT Annual Meeting):

Nonmember-invited speakers receive a complimentary registration for the day they are speaking but may extend the one-day registration to a full meeting registration. Nonmember speakers receive a discounted registration rate of $300 for the entirety of the meeting, instead of the full nonmember price of $750, if registered before the early bird deadline of September 18. The $300 registration fee increases on September 19 by $100, to a rate of $400. Full meeting registration includes all Symposia, the Awards Ceremony and Luncheon on Monday afternoon, the Monday evening Poster Session with Wine and Cheese, the Tuesday morning Poster Session with Champagne Breakfast, daily continental breakfasts, and coffee breaks.

If you would like to attend the Welcome Reception ($50) or additional CE courses ($275 each, $375 beginning September 19) you will have to pay the additional fees associated with each separate special event/Continuing Education course. These additional events can be added on your Registration Form. Speakers should fill out and return with payment to acthq@actox.org with desired options. If no additional days or events are desired, then speakers will automatically be registered for the meeting by an ACT staff member approximately one month before the Annual Meeting. Simply fill in $300 on the line where it says Nonmember (instead of $750) on the registration form. ACT will validate that you are a speaker.
