Instructions for ACT Poster Presentations

Upon acceptance of the poster abstract, the presenting author must register for the meeting (full meeting registration is required; there are no exceptions). Designated authors (indicated in the Program with an underline) will present their poster in the Exhibit Hall during the Poster Session with Wine and Cheese on Monday, November 5, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Your presence, and/or that of a co-author, is required during the poster session and is particularly important because this is when conference participants will plan to meet you to discuss your work. Authors who are not present during the poster session will not have their abstracts published in ACT’s scientific journal, International Journal of Toxicology. Please keep in mind that presenting authors may only present one poster at the Annual Meeting, but there is no limit to the number of posters that you may co-author.

Posters will be assigned a number for a designated 4 feet high x 6 feet wide board (assigned poster numbers will be located in the Program's Author Index). Please include the title and the names of the investigators at the top of your poster, and include the abstract along with the other information you want to display (display should be limited to scientific data and should not contain marketing of any kind). Push pins will be provided to attach your poster.

It is the responsibility of the poster presenter to remove the poster. Failure to do so could result in damage to or loss of the unclaimed poster. The American College of Toxicology is not responsible for posting, removing, or storing posters and assumes no responsibility for any poster not removed during the designated dismantle time.

Poster session set-up and dismantle times:

  • Setup: Sunday, November 4, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
  • Poster Session: Monday, November 5, 5:00 PM–6:30 PM
  • Dismantle: Tuesday, November 6, 4:30 PM–7:30 PM

If you have any questions about abstracts or posters, please contact Jordan Ballance at 703.547.0875 ext. 1425 or jballance@actox.org.
