  • Golf Outing

    Golf Outing at the 39th Annual Meeting

    • Fee: $100 ACT Members; $120 Nonmembers

    Madison Green Golf Course is a magnificent par-72 course that winds its way through a lush, natural setting; with something new and exciting at every turn. To make this championship design fun and rewarding for all levels of play there are five tee settings to choose from. Don’t miss your opportunity to build relationships in a relaxed atmosphere.

    The player fee includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, use of the practice putting green, a light reception, transportation (please contract Jessica Fasanella by October 15 if you are interested in utilizing the provided transportation), and participant door prizes.

    Set your watch to “Island Time,” put on your favorite tropical attire, and join us in paradise at ACT’s Welcome Reception and Dinner. Enjoy margaritas while you socialize and network with excellent company in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. So, wear your flip-flops and don’t miss Jazzicology, a homegrown jazz band composed of ACT members!

  • Awards Ceremony and Luncheon

    Listen to a keynote presentation by the Distinguished Scientist Award in Toxicology recipient during this lunch, which is included as part of your Annual Meeting registration. Awards will be presented to the recipients of the Mildred Christian Women’s Leadership in Toxicology Award, Service Award, Carol C. Lemire Unsung Hero Award, Early Career Professional Award, and the Award for Best Paper Published in International Journal of Toxicology. The ACT Furst Award for best student poster presentation will be announced, as well as the North American Travel Grant, the North American Graduate Fellowship, and International Travel Grant recipients.

  • Poster Session with Wine and Cheese

    This is the opportunity to discuss the latest research findings and methodology with poster presenters and visit with exhibitors. Don’t miss out on some of the most innovative work in the field. Two drink tickets and light fare will be offered. This event is included in the Annual Meeting registration fee.

  • Early Career Professional Social

    Early Career Professional Night

    • Monday, November 5
    • 6:30 PM–9:30 PM
    • (Open to students and attendees with less than 10 years’ professional experience. Advance registration required, space is limited.)

    Attend the Early Career Professional Night! This dual event will provide early career professionals with an opportunity to talk with experienced leaders in toxicology about different career paths, challenges, and professional growth areas.

    The night won’t end there. Immediately following the speed networking session, you will get the chance to showcase your creativity and paint your very own masterpiece! Details and further instructions will be given during the social. Aprons will be provided, and paints are washable, but you may want to wear something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on—just in case (this includes shoes).

  • Annual ToxTrot

    ACT’s 5th Annual ToxTrot

    • Tuesday, November 6
    • 6:30 AM–7:30 AM
    • (Free event. Advance registration required.)

    Start your morning off right and join members from ACT’s Council as they walk, trot, and run through the 5K ToxTrot course. This is a great opportunity to meet and network with fellow ACT members and attendees, all while burning a few calories and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of West Palm Beach.

    Following the event, complimentary t-shirts will be offered to those participants who register for the event before September 21, 2018. A t-shirt size survey will be sent out to all participants registered before the cut-off date. If you do not reply to the survey, a t-shirt is not guaranteed.
