Candidates for membership to the American College of Toxicology must comply with the following requirements. A copy of the supporting documents as requested on the application must be sent to the Secretariat of the American College of Toxicology. The application must bear the names of two sponsoring members of the American College of Toxicology. Phone numbers of the sponsoring members must be provided on the application form. For associate membership, if two sponsoring College members cannot be obtained owing to the candidate being overseas or not near a center of toxicological research, letters of recommendation from two scientists familiar with the candidate's work in toxicology will be accepted.
The Secretariat shall forward copies of the completed application with supporting information to the Membership Committee. The Membership Committee shall vote on the eligibility of the applicants for membership in the College. The Chairman of the Membership Committee shall compile the votes and forward the results to the President of the College. Letters of acceptance or denial will then be sent to the applicants. There shall be no deadlines for applications.
